Last night, Politicians, Press and members of the LGBT Community attended a Portcullis House Political Reception in support of the London 2018 Gay Games Bid.
The aim of the reception was to bring together the Bid’s key stakeholders, supporters from within national and local government, donors of our 100-OUT Campaign, and leading members of other LGBT groups that have expressed their support for the bid. The event highlighted the efforts being made to bring the Gay Games to London in 2018 and what goals the team aims to achieve in the coming months.
Host of the event, Stephen Gilbert, MP (for St Austel and Newquay), House of Commons said
“It was a pleasure to host the event which we hope will cement the cross-party political support for London’s 2018 bid and help to raise the profile of the event. This is great opportunity for London to build on the Olympic and Paralympic legacy and promote an inclusive sporting event to one and all.”
We agree. Thank you.
